WEBINAR DESCRIPTION:

How can we begin to address the emotional fallout from COVID-19 as we welcome students and employees back to school and work?

The answer is clear - human relationships and social connectedness.

Hundreds of studies directly link our overall well-being with the amount of social support one has, yet the empathy/action gap continues to grow. Even when we recognize those who struggle, very few of us feel equipped to know what to say and do to help, so we get stuck in the “Awkward Zone” and fail to act. This only worsens the emotional fallout.

It doesn’t have to be this way. Connection and care can be taught through the skill of Comfort. This resilient skill gives us strength when we face our challenges together. The latin origins show it: COM = together with, FORT = strength.

In this webinar, you will learn of the behaviors that stop us from showing care, the science and process of the skill, and tools and strategies you can use to break through your own personal “Awkward Zone” to show care to those who need your support.
